Storm causes 100 Ft. Oak Tree to Fall on House

After a large storm with heavy winds hit the area, a 100 ft oak tree was knocked over onto a family's home.  The damage went all the way through the roofing and into a bedroom.

Warped Flooring After Water Damage

These wooden floors became warped and damaged after a water loss occurred in this home.  Sadly, the water sat on the flooring long enough that they were warped beyond repair.

Mold on Contents

It is not uncommon for mold to affect contents in a home, especially if they are stored in damp environments, such as basements or garages.  This is an example of a moldy book that was found in the basement of a house!

Mold Growth

It does not take long for mold to grow and spread.  This home is a great example of what can happen if a water damage is not found and taken care of in a timely manner.

Fire Damage

This fire was determined to be caused by an improperly disposed of cigarette.  The fire engulfed the first level of the home damaging the home and the contents.  The paint bubbled off the walls due to the heat.  Very frightening view.

Soot Strands

The "spider webbing" that you see here are actually called soot strands.  These are not the result of inadequate housekeeping.  Soot strands are common when there is a lot of smoke.  They are a fine black particle, mostly composed of carbon, produced by incomplete combustion of coal, oil, wood, or other fuels.

Fire Damage

This is what happens to your home in the event of fire.  The fire burnt through the ceiling, collapsing the ceiling and the insulation into the master bedroom.  The water used to extinguish the fire collapsed what little insulation was left, leaving the homeowner with this mess!

Fire Damage to Attic

This fire started in the attic and spread through out the 2nd floor of the home.  The fire burnt through the roof, then collapsed the ceilings on the 2nd floor.  The water used to put out the blaze also caused much damage to the structure.

Mold on air vent

If you are ever cleaning the air vents in your home and notice mold growth - STOP!   Mold spores are everywhere in our environment and can enter homes easily and grow quickly.  Always use exhaust fans in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms!

Mold growing on walls

This home was being remodeled and had a small pipe leak which cause water to drip.  In the heat of the summer with high humidity and the house closed up and no air conditioning, this is what the contractors came back to in only 2 weeks!

Tree Falls on home

A severe thunderstorm over Salem in June caused a tree to fall and hit the back of a home.  The tree caused the guttering to come off as well as damaged the roof and the siding, resulting in water damage on the interior of the home as well.

Commercial Water Damage

This local business suffered water damage due to a broken pipe that sprayed water throughout the evening resulting in the ceiling collapsing in areas.  SERVPRO was able to be onsite within 30 minutes of receiving the call to get the clean up started and water extracted.  The faster we can get to a water damage reduces the damage by thousands of dollars.

Manufacturing Facility Flooding
